|Positive points about your laptop:
||My Dell notebook proved to the most amazing thing that changed my lifestyle. Its solid and bulky build with smooth edges weighs about 2.5kg(quite heavy!) but i fell
in love at first sight with the spring color and the dell logo on it.It has a 15.4" display with 1440X900 resolution with true life bringing life to my game characters!.
It is powered by NVIDIA 8600MGT(256MB Graphic memory) which helps in my graphic intensive applications concerning to 3D modelling and game development applications and of
course games. It is equipped with bluetooth,Wireless LAN and card reader helping me with gaming and data transfers to my friends' mobiles. The system was bundled with Windows Vista which
I must say has great security but is a let down on compatibility issues and ofcourse free RAM!.It has Core2Duo 1.66Ghz 2MB L2 cache processor which is a bit let down for a hardcore gamer. It has a windows experience rating from 4.6 to 5.2 and a system can't be
best tested without running games over it, i havn't encountered one which refused to run. It's accessories include creative earplugs which deliver awsome sound quality and a
nylon bag which is satisfactory but not very good.It was shipped with 6CDs comprising of drivers and recovery techniques. Its speakers are placed on the front lower side(beneath touchpad area) and media buttons placed in front side such that i can
enjoy music even with my lap's lid closed!.I got it customised with 9 cell battery with 4-5 hr. backup which leaves me uninterrupted while watchin' movies or playin' games or other work
and is very helpful while i travel. It's adapter is huge but the heat generated is very less as compared to others.Considering heat, it generates a lot(unstable heat) in high performance(with
all restrictions removed!)but the system generates stable heat in power saver mode. One point I must say that its metallic lusture and extremely nice keyboard(which still feels
like feather as if they were shipped just yesterday even after playin' rigorously on games like NFSC and THUG2).The touchpad has nice sensitivity with scroll areas over touchpad and
the buttons are just same as the keys.Concerning noise, the system hardly produces any.Its best feature I found was the media center button(bypasses system boot) which allows me to listen to music
and watch movies with minimal power usage.Besides 2GB RAM, it has DVD writer with preinstalled Roxio Creator. It has a 160GB hard disk(with recovery partion) which I think I have fallen short of!.It's equipped with 2MP webcam and a microphone near it
allowin' me to chat without extra accessories. The ports on it comprises of 4 USB ports,a headphone and microphone jack,LAN and MODEM ports,i394 port,PS/2 port and video connection port.
Concludin' I would say that this lap is provin' to be a boon for my engineering studies....
